Activities - past and present
Since 1999, DHARMA Foundation has rescued and provided a home to more than 500 animals of all kinds (cows, pigs, donkeys, dogs, cats, birds).
In line with current financial limitations, DHARMA Foundation currently provides physical shelter only for small animals, primarily dogs. Nearly 50 dog-angels are permanent inmates at the SKK shelter at any given time.
DHARMA Foundation has transported more than 100 large animals from as far as 200 kilometres to gaushalas and government veterinary hospitals.

Surkhand ka Kheda (SKK) Shelter
DHARMA Foundation constructed its 1st large space shelter at Surkhand Kheda, 55 kms west of Udaipur. The 3-acres land upcoming shelter will provide a home for all kinds of animals – both large and small.
Surkhand Kheda village is located 15 kms away from the Samadhi of one of India’s greatest heroes – Maharana Pratap.
SKK is a 3 acre piece of land which currently houses 3 shelter wings for nearly 50 dog-angels.
The SKK shelter is managed by Ramzan R Kabani, a former member of UN Peace Keeping Force, who stays at the SKK shelter full time and looks after his 'Totos" (as he fondly calls the dog-angels.)

Activities - Planned - the "Nandi" Bull shelter
SKK aims to provide long term shelter for one of India’s most neglected animals – the Indian Bull. While the Holy Cow is revered in this country, ‘Nandi’ the bull is totally neglected.
Indian bulls can be found almost in every village, town and city in India. Since they have no commercial use, these stray bulls can be commonly found around municipal waste dumpyards, foraging for whatever food they can get.
Apart from rotten and decaying food, bulls end up consuming paper, cardboard, plastic and sometimes glass too. These bulls are usually seen in varying states of injury, illness and deprivation with almost no care.
Activities planned - others
DHARMA Foundation is committed to start various other activities:
Veterinary care services - including a full-time Veterinary Doctor and Compounder
A veterinary pathology lab including X-ray facilities
Animal Birth Control activities in collaboration with local government bodies
'Birds Hospital' services
Animal litigation activities
Animal welfare awareness programmes
